All our beliefs are based on the Bible as God's Word to all people. As God's Word, we believe that all of our beliefs and practices must be in line with what God has said in the Bible.

Apostles Creed
Nicene Creed
Athanasian Creed
The three confessions are called "Reformed Confessions" because they outline the same faith and belief of all other Christians but with a particular style of emphasis that goes all the way back to the Protestant Reformation. These three confessions, named after the places they were written, are...

Why have creeds, confessions, or other statements of belief?
Unfortunately, it is easy to misunderstand the Bible and twist the Bible's words to suit an agenda. This has been done many times in history and today. The Bible even shows Satan using Scripture in tempting Jesus to sin (Matthew 4:6, Luke 4:9-11). Over time Christians have come together and made belief statements, designed to curb any major misinterpretations of the Bible. These statements represent what Christians have believed (implicitly or explicitly) since the time of the apostles. They were all put together over significant periods of time, reviewed by many Christians from different backgrounds, and finally agreed upon by Christians all around the world.
