Let us join together tonight at our combined evening service with North Blendon Reformed Church.  Until further notice, our combined evening services will be drive-in and will be held at North Blendon Reformed Church.  The service begins at 5:30 pm and can be found on station 1630 AM on your car radio.  Pastors Aaron and Ron will be preaching a series of messages from Psalms titled, Songs by Which to Live.  This week Pastor Aaron will be leading our evening service and will preach on Psalm 95 and the message is “Today If You Hear His Voice”.  We hope to see you there!

(Guideline change:  Please feel free to put the windows of your vehicle down, provided there is at least 6 feet  of distance between you and the vehicle next to you.)

 

The following men were chosen at our Congregational Meeting as new office-bearers: 

Elder:  Bob Bolhuis, Doug Buist, Mike Lengkeek

Deacon:  Gary Bosch, Tim Hassevoort, Joe Scharphorn

We thank these men for their willingness to serve our church.

Children in Worship is planning to resume on Sunday, September 13.  Thank you for your understanding.

Severe Weather Policy:  If there is a tornado watch in effect two hours prior to a scheduled worship service or meeting, that service or meeting will be cancelled.  A cancellation notice will be on TV stations Channel 8 and Channel 13.  A cancellation notice will also be put on church’s Facebook page and an email will be sent.  Elders will attempt to notify their district members who are not included on the church’s email list.

Borculo Christian School is looking to hire a custodian for 2020-2021 school year.  This person would be responsible for the general maintenance/cleaning and general repairs of the school and grounds. It would require on average 20 to 30 hours each week.  If you are interested please email your contact information to the school office at bcsoffice@borculochrschool.org.

Our combined evening service with North Blendon Reformed Church has begun.  The service starts at 5:30 pm and, until further notice, will be a drive-in service held at North Blendon Reformed Church.  Pastors Aaron and Ron will be preaching a series of messages from Psalms titled, Songs by Which to Live.   The service will be on station 1630 AM on your radio.  (If you came to the drive-in worship service last Sunday evening and found the sound to be a bit choppy, it should be better this week.  Sometimes a small piece of tape can make a big difference!)  The order of worship and guidelines for the drive-in evening service are included in this bulletin.  If you want to have the order of worship, please take this bulletin with you tonight.  A bulletin will not be handed out at the drive-in service.  We hope to see you there!

 

The Deacons gratefully acknowledge the following receipts for the month of May:

General Fund  $30,089.42; Building Fund  $2,916.81; Christian Education  $2,615.27; Missions  $1,344.00; Benevolent  $500.00.  Percentage of Budget Met  126.85%.   A big thank you to everyone for your continued giving.

To the GEMS Secret Grandmothers/Persons:  We are planning to still have a Secret Grandmother/Person Tea sometime this summer so we can finish out our GEMS year and the girls and their secret person can be revealed.  We want to thank you so much for your support and prayers for the GEMS girls and our program.  The girls love this program and I hope you have been rewarded as well.  For sure this has been an unique year and we are sad it came to an end so quickly, however we hope to have the tea and recognize our graduating 8th grade girls yet this summer.  We will keep you updated and give you the new date as soon as we are allowed/able to gather.  Stay safe — The GEMS Leaders
