The Outreach committee is looking for a few more people to complete the VBS Committee.

We are looking for someone for:

Crafts - you would come up with ideas for the crafts for the week

Decorations - you would be responsible for coming up with an idea to decorate the sanctuary and basement

Registration - You would be responsible for organizing the registration of the children attending VBS.

We are asking for a two year commitment. As a committee member you will be planning VBS, but you will not be required to be at VBS every day. The committee usually meets once a month starting in February. The dates for VBS are set by the committee. The positions are open to anyone high school age and older. Once the committee has come up with ideas, other volunteers will come along side you to help carry out the plans.

Please prayerfully consider helping in these areas. There is a sign up sheet on the shelf.  We need these positions filled by TODAY in order to have VBS this coming summer.  If you have any questions, please talk to a member of the Outreach committee.

Cadet Snow Derby is planned for Saturday, February 3.  Meet at the Horinga Farm at 8:30 am (8315 Polk Street).  Dress appropriately for the weather - we will be outside all morning.  Dinner will be served.  Bring a can of vegetable or noodle soup, a cup, and a spoon.

A volunteer is needed!  Children in Worship is looking for another Leader who would teach once every 3-4 weeks. Please prayerfully consider helping out with this ministry.  If you are willing to be a leader, we will provide training for someone who is willing to help.  Please contact Andrea Kole at 218-2076 or arntz_ak@hotmail.com if you can help in this ministry.

The Middle School Youth Group cannot wait to serve you on February 24 at our Sweetheart Dinner!  We will be taking reservations on February 4 and February 11 in the basement of church. Reservations will be required.  This year we are excited to announce that we are serving your choice of Chicken Monterey, ham, or prime rib.  Please see flier in your mailbox for detailed information.

The Middle School Youth Group is looking for donations to help off-set the cost of our upcoming Sweetheart Dinner.  If you are willing to donate a dessert, pop, dinner rolls, etc. please see the donation sheet(s) in the back of church.  All donations will need to be to church by 2:00 pm on February 24.  Thanks in advance for your support!

Congregation — from Council:  Council Meeting will be Monday, February 12 (note date change).  The church visitors will be meeting with us at that time.  Any member of the congregation who wishes to meet with the church visitors, please talk to Rog Overweg.

Have you lost something?  There are several items  — dishes, jewelry, coats, hats, etc.  The items are on a table in the church basement.  Please check to see if any of these items are yours or possibly a family member’s item that was left following a gathering in either the church basement or in the youth building.  Whatever items are left after Sunday, February 4, will be donated to Love I.N.C.

Valet Parking:  If anyone would like valet parking, please drive up to the front of church and a Deacon will park your car for you.  They will also be available to bring your car to the front of church following the worship service.
