November 7, 2021

Welcome!  We are glad you’ve joined us to worship God.  Sing, pray, and enjoy the Word of God when it is read and preached.  Then go forth under the Holy Spirit’s leadership.

—Today we celebrate the Lord’s Supper.  Visitors, if you are a church member in good standing and have professed your faith in Christ Jesus publicly, we invite you to come to the table of the Lord with us.

Communion Banner Symbolism:  The bread (wafer circle) and wine (chalice) are shown in combination with the natural elements of wheat and grapes.  The red cross symbolizes the blood of Jesus shed for the forgiveness of sins.

—Everyone is invited to the church basement following our morning worship service for a time of fellowship, coffee/punch, and cookies.

Outreach is planning another serve trip either next Spring or Summer. If you've been thinking about going on a serve trip, please attend the short meeting today after the morning worship service. At that time, we would like to determine what time of year works best for most.  We will meet in the back of the sanctuary. If you have any questions, talk to Nancy Miedema or a member of the Outreach Committee.

Christian School Tuition Disbursement will be sent out in November.  If you are in need of assistance at this time, please contact Jim Nyenbrink at 616-862-1242 by today.

3-Point: Join us tonight as we unpack the final mask that we tend to hide behind.   Do you allow other people to label you?  Or do you maybe label yourself?  Or do you label those around you?  Join us from 6:30-9:00 pm as we discuss how only God get to say who we are!

In today’s bulletin is a form that you can write what you are thankful for this year and your items of thanks will be included in our Thanksgiving prayer.  Fill out a form and place it in the box in the narthex.

Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are available in the church basement for you to take home and fill up!  Cost for shipping is $9 per shoe box. Payment can be made online through Samaritan's Purse, a check written to church, or cash.  Samaritan's Purse website also has a specific list of items that cannot be sent, as well as ideas of age appropriate gift items!  Please contact Tena Hassevoort if you have any questions.  Filled boxes can be placed on the table in the basement BY NOVEMBER 14.

Please help Outreach give a Thanksgiving dinner to a needy family.  There are tags on a table downstairs with a list of all the items needed.  Pull off a tag, buy the items listed and place the purchased items in the box with the tag attached. If you are purchasing a turkey or pies, please bring them to church on the 21st and put them in the freezer in the storage room.  Please have all the items to church by Sunday, November 21st.  If you have any questions, please talk to a member of the Outreach committee.  Thanks for your help in loving our neighbors.

Pig-in-the-Blankets will be made again on Tuesday, November 30 at 9:00 am. This was the only time I could get the supplies. If you want to have some pigs for the Holidays, please sign up on the sheet in back of church if you can help make them.  Any questions, please talk to Nancy Miedema.

Christmas Cards for Missionaries:  Please take time to sign the Christmas cards for our missionaries.  The cards will be in back of church.  Thank You.
